Mostly we went for our usual walks, walks and more walks, which isn't exactly "fun and games" but it was fun to walk around the neighborhood at night this month and check out the spooky displays for Halloween. Also we were aided in that effort by a package we received from Miss Flea of Jones Natural Chews!
We won a reflective leash from a giveaway on Flea's blog, and she sent it with some Jones chicken and beef taffy in the box, as you could have probably guessed from Rita's reaction to the box:
Here are some of the fun things we did this month for Kamp: (That one pic is a night shot of the new leash. You can barely see Rita's hiney in the pic - our 'hood is not well lit!)
We also tried adding some indoor games here and there, although as I mentioned last week, Rita gets bored pretty quickly with games. For your Mirth Watch Thursday viewing, here's video proof of how quickly she gets bored. (It's not usually THIS quick!)
Thank you to our K9 Kamp hosts, Koly and Felix at Kol’s Notes, Kelly and Ike at Peggy’s Pet Place and Gretel and Chester at You Did What With Your Wiener. Thanks for motivating us to stay fit and keep it fun!
The next Kamp will be in January - just in time for those New Year's resolutions about getting fit! Hope to see you all there!
Happy Mirth Watch Thursday. Go forth and be mirthful.
"Go forth and be mirthful." Aye, aye! Laughed at the video. Jeffie is not into fetch at all. He thinks Rudy and Rosie should go get the ball (and they do!)
ReplyDeleteTorrey will play forever, with a frisbee anyway. Roxy...never.
ReplyDeleteMy guys play until they overheat!
ReplyDeleteNice win and happy play time. Have a tremendous Thursday and Happy Halloween to all your family. Hope it is a spectacularly good spooky one.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
That lead is so cool, I bet it'll be really useful tonight!
ReplyDeleteOh Rita, you need to learn to be a retriever!
Pippa :)
Thanks for joining us today for the pumpkin slide! Hope you had a good time!
ReplyDeleteHappy Howl-O-Ween!
Mr Bailey, Hazel & Greta
Oh nice leash. It'll come in very handy when the sun sets so much earlier now.
ReplyDeleteYep, we've had previous dogs who loved fetching about as much as Rita. Mike is thrilled to finally have a retriever. I think it's because he can sit in his chair and exercise the dog by tossing a ball. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween!
Great photos of what you did. Have a great halloween
ReplyDeleteSounds like our lives...walk, walk, and more walking...Happy Howloween!
ReplyDeleteThat looked about right to me BOL, I mean you threw it away!!
ReplyDeleteGizmo's about as motivated as Rita when it comes to fetch...but he loves the dancing...there's something really fun about putting on loud music and dancing around the room with your dog
ReplyDeleteI think you had a good month! The video made me chuckle. Even our golden retriever loses interest in fetch fairly quickly....but the little beagle will just go and go!
ReplyDeleteBTW, nice long hallway you have for playing indoors!
The wiens are about as interested in fetch as Rita is. They'll chase after whatever is thrown, but really have no desire to bring it back. A couple of throws and they're done, just like her.
ReplyDeleteStill love the shot of her and your hubs dancing... and her poking her head out of the tall grass... so cute!!
Great job keeping up with lots of walks. Walking has become extra challenging around here, with now three neurotic Dachshunds who all want to pull, pull, pull... and sometimes in different directions. Sigh. There's a reason we've never participated in K9 Kamp or FitDog Friday. We do our best, but it would just be embarrassing, lol.
