She loves it! But in the immortal words of Tom Petty, "the waaaaaiting is the hardest part!"
To answer Rita's question, and save you doing math, 15 minutes in dog minutes is 105 minutes. That's close to two hours! Poor Rita!
We mix a little in with her grain-free kibble. Maybe the waiting makes it taste even better, cuz she gobbles it up when it's ready. (And this girl is a PICKY eater.)
The folks at ILY contacted us because they saw the post I'd done a while back about how much Rita liked their Ear Candy. They noticed that I said in the post that I wanted to try some of their dehydrated food, so they sent us samples, but it was right before we went on vacation. And then when we got back, I was crazy busy with the new novel. So we're finally getting around to trying the samples and Rita is a fan!
They also sent us some "nothin' but chicken" treats, which we tore into immediately.
As you might imagine, they were a huge hit.
In Other News...
The 99 cent sale for What the Dog Ate that I mentioned on Monday has been going really well. The book actually hit #1 on Amazon's Humorous Fiction chart. (!!) Not sure it will stay there very long, but I'm enjoying it for as long as it lasts! (I'm extending the sale through Thursday if you know anyone who'd like to read a Fido-friendly romantic comedy.)
Also, Rescue Me, Maybe got a really nice review from a book blogger that you can check out here, if you are so inclined!
Note: We were sent the samples from I and Love and You as a nice gesture after our earlier post. They specifically said we were under no obligation to post a review, but I wanted to share our thoughts since we really like the products.
Happy (not so) Wordless Wednesday!
She reminds me of that infamous cupcake dog in the first pic. :)
ReplyDeleteRita,
ReplyDeleteWilhelm, Brychwyn & Huxley can TOTALLY relate. In fact, we quit trying dehydrated food because the racket while waiting was unbearable! Boys.
You are such a patient girl Rita...much more than I would be. ~SlimDoggy Jack
ReplyDeleteDexter loves these treats and the pics you shared are oh so cute!
ReplyDeleteI understand how Rita feels. Waiting is very hard!
ReplyDeletePoor Rita. Waiting is so difficult.
ReplyDeleteWell done on the book being numero uno. We have been having problems with out intermutts but we will sit and have a good read of the second one soon. Looking forward to it. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Lol. I've been giving Sherman and Leroy food that needs to be hydrated too, the waiting is killing them!
ReplyDeleteDogs can't wait for their treats, for sure!
ReplyDeleteI cannot stand waiting...it is terrierible. I'm with Rita.
ReplyDeleteI always WAIT for a Tasty DELISH Treat. It's a Good Thing to WAIT :-) Happy BlogPaws WW. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteWaiting is so hard!
ReplyDeleteThat's one reason I mix the next days food, the night before. Waiting for breakfast would not be there favorite thing. Congrats on the book too.
ReplyDeleteI am not a good waiter at all, i scream literally at my mom to move along faster!!!!!!

Rita looks quite patient! Wrigs would be doing a dance and have rivers of saliva pouring out of his mouth if he had to wait 15 minutes for his food. :-D Congratulations on your success with What the Dog Ate! That's fantastic!
ReplyDeleteSusan and Wrigs
What a pretty girl, you enjoy your chicken bites! And tell your mother to hurry it up next time!
ReplyDeleteAt least she's got four on the floor. Delilah is usually jumping on her hind feet.
ReplyDeleteWe are not good waiters either! As soon as mom starts scooping Bailey is barking barking barking till the bowl hits the floor! We really enjoyed What the Dog Ate, congrats on the #1

Can she eat it dehydrated, like astronaut ice cream?
ReplyDeleteYour book sounds so good you may be pushing out of my comfort zone of paper in the world of the Kindle. I do most changes kicking and screaming.
ReplyDeleteSuch restraint!
ReplyDeleteAw, poor Rita! 15 minutes is like forever when it comes to dogs :)
ReplyDeleteJimmy and Wilson want to know why dog food companies aren't sending them sample????!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good patient girl Rita was! Kobi is starting to get picky I think, so we may need to find something good to add to his kibble to step it up a bit for him.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the #1 with your book!!
Oh, I bet those are yummy treats!
ReplyDeleteHi, nice to meet you and enjoyed your not-so-wordless post!
ReplyDelete15 minutes is FOREVER for my two....
ReplyDeleteDog minutes are soooo long!! Cat minutes too! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday from GOLDIE
After showing such restraint waiting for the food to rehydrate, I'm glad you gave those treats a good chomp! The foodables must be reminded who's boss!
ReplyDeleteHey Rita
ReplyDeleteI'm sure glad they gave you some treats to snack on whilst you waited the 15 looooong minutes! :)
Enjoy,
Your pal Snoopy :)
