And they almost cuddled in our bed together as well once:
So, she does cuddle sometimes. Even her mom and pop sometimes. And we sure love it when she does!
In Other news...
I wrote an essay on 13 Ways Writers are Like Dogs, which was posted on the Manhattan Book Review. Stop by and check out the silliness.
Happy Less-Wordy Wednesday!
Thanks to BlogPaws for hosting Wordless Wednesday! Thank you for letting me be wordy! You can check out all the blogs in the hop HERE.
Awe! They are precious! <3
ReplyDeleteAren't they, though?!
DeleteSorta snuggling still counts. And woo-hoo on your article!!! Awesomeness.
ReplyDeleteLuckily the cold weather is coming so maybe she'll be more snuggly soon! :)
DeleteVery cute!
ReplyDeleteThey're very cute - but neither pose lasted very long!
DeleteIf Rita is stingy with cuddles you appreciate them even more when she deigns to give them. I'm off to find out why I'm like a dog although i might guess
ReplyDeleteYes, that is so true! We get super excited when she cuddles us!
Deletelol, almost cuddling. I love it!! I will go look at your article now.
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out my article!
DeleteHaha! I especially liked "We spend significant chunks of time looking like we’re doing nothing" from your essay. I do feel that way sometimes. :)
ReplyDeleteI love what Jan said about Rita, those snuggles and cuddles are very special.
Glad you liked that one!
DeleteSo true about her cuddles being special. We get so excited ("Look! She's cuddling me!") when she comes to sit/sleep by us.
Mabel loves to cuddle - I love it when Hazel and sometimes Bailey will let her cuddle with them
ReplyDeletehugs
Mr Bailey, Hazel & Mabel
So cute when they cuddle together, isn't it?!
DeleteAhh so cute! Mine cuddle sometimes too and I immediately reach for the camera, there's something so sweet about it :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, since it's rare around here we always reach for the camera!
DeleteNothing cuter than that! Love a good cuddle from Kilo- best way to start the day.
ReplyDeleteRita sometimes comes in the bed with us for a while before we get up - we LOVE that when she snuggles us a bit in the a.m. before it's time to get up.
DeleteAlmost snuggling counts! ☺
ReplyDeleteSure does!
DeleteI used to have a part-time snuggler. I used to be suspicious of B when she first came to live with me because of how snuggly she was. Now I just love it and can't believe I went for so long without a full time snuggler. Although I loved that part-time snuggler fiercely - probably because she made me work so hard for her affections. :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, we have to work pretty hard to get her to snuggle us too. We beg her to sleep with, but she gets up and goes and gets in her own bed every night after getting her "bedtime treat."
DeleteThat must make you feel so cheap and used. ;) Blueberry usually does that to me in the summer when it is too warm for her to sleep on the bed. I will entice her with a treat onto the bed and as soon as she scarfs it down - she ditches me.
DeleteMr. N is pretty cuddly but he usually prefers being right next to you vs on top of you.
ReplyDeleteMr. N. is wise. I prefer that too!
DeleteBailie and I are non stop snugglers, and Mom loves it. It probably means more with a girl like Rita since it rarely happens.
ReplyDeleteI probably wouldn't want her to snuggle non-stop - after all, sometimes it's way too hot for snuggling here - but we love it when she does snuggle!
DeleteKelly does not snuggle with Ike very often, so I know that it's special the times that they are close. This is so cute!
ReplyDeleteOh, I bet it's really cute when those two snuggle.
Deletep.s. Cute article! Dogs and writers both dig for the good stuff!
ReplyDeleteGood one! 14 ways! Thanks for checking out my essay!
DeleteThey all have their moments! This morning Cricket had her head resting across Sheba's neck...not something we see too often with the two girls. I couldn't get my camera fast enough though, darn it! Off to read your essay...it sounds fun!
ReplyDeleteAwww, cute. Once in a while our beagle would snuggle with our mom's beagle, that same way with her neck across Sugar's neck. Love.
DeleteWhat a precious picture. Booker T isn't much on snuggling, but Cassius likes to...let me amend that, he doesn't really cuddle and snuggle as much as he just lays all over me.
ReplyDeleteGotta love a big dog who thinks he's a lap dog!
DeleteCute picture and cute essay!
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out the essay!
DeleteCuddling / snuggling is a selective PAWsonal thing. Some like it a lot and others can take it or leave it LOL
ReplyDeleteRita does come for some lovin quite often. She's just not much for cuddling!
DeleteRita is just picky with her cuddles and snuggles! For the record, I don't do cuddles, but I do snuggles! There is a difference ;) Will send the Staff to check the article!! We are curious to know!!
ReplyDeleteHmm. Yes I guess there is a difference! She does like snuggles. Especially if an ear or face rub is involved!
DeleteAnytime noses are that close, it's a cuddle!
ReplyDeleteI was lucky to catch the picture cuz that cuddle didn't last long!
DeleteGreat pictures and article! I adore your writing style through ALL of your books and the article didn't disappoint either! :-)
ReplyDeleteA couple of cuties.
ReplyDeleteThis is cute! I consider it snuggling, definitely.
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! I love how you care of your dog. I have a dog too. Her name is Lucy. But it hard to take her picture. She never focus to the camera. Love your picture.
