Okay, for starters - we are joining in with co-hosts SlimDoggy and Keep the Tail Wagging and we resolve to move our mutt!
"You're not going to let me down, are you Momma?" |
As for me, I'm resolving to get an average of 10,000 steps per day; to be better about doing my exercises for my back; and to try my darndest to get my third book published this year. (!) (That may mean less blogging... so I may drop Mirth Watch Thursday and just post on M,W, F. We'll see...)
In some follow-up news...
Remember AGES ago when I asked y'all for advice on what car I should get? Geez, that was way back in August! I finally had some time to do some research and some test-driving, and on the last day of 2013 we hit the dealer looking for those year end clearance deals, and I came home with a shiny new 2013 Toyota RAV4!
Rita seems to like her spot in the back seat. |
I also got the perfect accessory for JVJ in my Christmas stocking:
My new "dog lover" bumper sticker |
Hope y'all had lovely holidays! Have you made resolutions for this year? Have you broken them yet?
That's a pretty sweet car magnet. I tried to make it a point to walk 10,000 steps a day, but it gets really hard! My Samsung Galaxy S4 had a pedometer, so it made me want to walk more, but I've since sold that phone. Hopefully my new job as a server will help me reach my 10,000 a day :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE your bumper sticker! I would put THAT one on my own car (I'm not big on bumper stickers)!
ReplyDeleteWe think that is a good resolution. Glad the little run around is a hit. Happy New Year to you too. Have a fabulous Friday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Sounds like a great plan for the new year. Congrats on the new car!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Jackie! Congrats on the new car! What a fun way to end/start the year.
ReplyDeleteGreat resolutions...and congrats on the new car! Happy New Year! Going to add Rita to our Resolve to Move Your Mutt photo albums!
ReplyDeleteOh we love that new car, and your resolutions. Our mom hasn't blogged or posted since Christmas Eve, she was held in work prison.

That's a pretty sweet car! :) I was desperate to get a RAV 4 after my former car was totaled. I ended up getting a Corolla but still have SUV envy whenever I see one :) Also, that's a lot of steps! Good luck keeping up with your fitness goals!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that I'm not alone with taking a blogging break! Welcome back :)
ReplyDeleteLove your new car! Congratulations!!
No soda this year for me!
ReplyDelete10,000 steps a day sounds most impressive, but you can probably do anything you set your mind to including a book.
ReplyDeleteI secretly hope my dependable car stops being so because I love shopping for cars and getting that new car smell that I remember from long ago. Have a great 2014!!
Love your magnet/sticker! Bailie and I are going to try nose work and see how that goes! We don't make resolutions, so none to report. We did finally finish your book, Mom loved it...we plan to post about in sometime next week depending on what comes up.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your new car! I know you are going to love it! I still love mine too, and we are thrilled with the gas mileage we've been getting. Great bumper sticker also!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your resolutions, we'll all encourage you since we want to read that third book! :)
Awes follow-up Jackie, thanks for joining the blog hop.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new car. I've only ever had one new car, it was a Chevy Equinox that I leased the first year the Equinox came out. It was so fun having a brand new car, but I turned it in when the lease was up and got my current car. I wish I'd never given it up. :-(
I'm also thinking of cutting back on my blogging. There are so many things I want/need to wrk on and I just can't do it all.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and Happy New Year!!
Sweet ride. But as a non-car person, my favorite part is the dog lover sticker. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful car!! Have a great new year ahead.
ReplyDeleteNo, not yet, but I tried to just remind myself that I want to make lifestyle changes that are better for me.
ReplyDeleteI love your new car! That reminds me, I have one of those bumper stickers. I wonder if I should put it on the new car....
Congrats on that new car! Love the RAV, but 3 big dogs just won't fit :-( Definitely looking forward to your new book!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your car's name! He's so pretty! You should totally talk to Dawn, at Pet Auto Safety Blog, about a seat cover for the back seat. They're PAWSOME!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good goal friend! I should resolve the same for my sapiens. We are going to the dog park now!
ReplyDeleteWow! Congratulations for having JVJ as the new member of your family. Hahaha! He is beautiful, and his color makes him so neat and elegant looking. Anyway, it seems that Rita loves JVJ as well, seeing how confidently she sits there in the backseat. So cute! Anyway, thanks for sharing that, Jackie! All the best to you and your family!
