Something good...
That's right, bunnies!
You can only see a couple in the above photo, but there were about 20 or 30 (!) bunnies and squirrels dotting the grass that morning. They all sprinted off when they spotted Rita. ("Run, Peter, run!")
I knew I was in for it.
We ran after them... Only problem was: #MommaDon'tRun
We (well, Rita) pursued them into the bushes...
But they are elusive little things.
Next time, bunnies. Next time.
Hope springs eternal |
Nice photos! Now leave those bunnies alone - WOOF! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Y'all!
ReplyDeleteRita, I sympathize with "mommy don't run". My Human is having problems with her foot and ankle so she's not runnin' anymore either! Humans, they can be real "party poopers"!
Y'all come on by,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Oh, Rita! Jeffie is so sorry you weren't able to catch a bunny. Rudy, too. It's one of their favorite things :-(
ReplyDeletebunnies are so so cute, our dogs want to chase them too but boy are they fast
ReplyDeleteretro rover
They are everywhere here too and Toby wants them for breakfast. Every. Single. Day. Needless to say, leashes come in very very handy for saving the bunnies (actually, I don't think he could catch one anyway, but who knows where he'd end up?)
ReplyDeleteTorrey and Roxy would go nuts too. Silly bunnies.
ReplyDeleteMine would have tried even harder!
ReplyDeleteMakes me think of the time that (blind) Hiker ound a baby bunny in our backyard. I didn't know about until it was too late. I still feel bad about that.
ReplyDeleteAwe they are so cute!
ReplyDeletePretty quick on the draw with that camera, weren't you? Nice catch with the speedy rabbit.
ReplyDeleteCome to IL and bring Rita, she and Buster can go nuts in the backyard chasing all the bunnies. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Rita's day got a whole lot better LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a rush. Now consider how much less your meat and dog food bill could be...
ReplyDeleteHysterical! This mama don't run either!
ReplyDeleteOh boy you hit the bunny motherlode! We see bunnies on our walk every morning. It looks like it was a good spring for the bunnies here but not sure if they will make it through the winter. Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteI bet you do get them next time, you got their number
ReplyDeleteDat's a lot of bunnies to chase!

Wabbits are the reason my mom has long arms like a monkey, LOL! They make us nuts!
ReplyDeleteRabbits??? How can you resist. We love to chase them at every opportunity!
ReplyDeleteOh boy, I'm not sure I'd have a shoulder left if any of my crew saw that! We used to see bunnies around our yard but haven't seen any now in years. It might be just as well, we'd probably have a lot more barking and squealing going on around here if we did!

Oh, man, the bunnies are in full force this year!!
ReplyDeleteI've got my $2.00 on you Rita - second times the charm.
ReplyDeleteRita is such a happy dog that's why I had to nominate you for 8 Photos of Happiness! Rules are simple. 8 photos of happiness and nominate some other blogs and thank Ariel’s Little Corner of the Internet for creating this event. Tag, you're it! Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteLOL according to brown dawgs nothing better than spotting bunnies and SQ's in the park.
ReplyDeleteBunny jackpot! It's good for the bunnies you were on your leash but I bet it would have been fun to chase them around.
