From Sugar the Golden Retriever, we won Pukka's Promise, by Ted Kerasote, the author of the very popular Merle's Door. The hubs read Merle's Door but I haven't gotten to it yet. I'm looking forward to Pukka since it is sub-titled "The Quest for Longer-Lived Dogs."

And my fellow author Martha Reynolds had a poll to pick winners on Oscar night (yes - I know that was ages ago. I said I've been remiss!) and I won with 4 out of 6 correct picks! I won an Amazon giftcard, which I used to buy her e-book, Chocolate for Breakfast, and a print copy of Chewed, pictured above. Chewed is a fun photography book of, as the name implies, chewed dog toys, with a few short stories and poems from various famous contributors (i.e. Isaac Mizrahi and William Wegman).
Rita was much more excited about the thing we won for her - Jones Natural Chews' Windee Rings from Flea and her fabulous Dog Treat Web blog.

ReplyDeleteWhat dog doesn't want to eat a little beef trachea. Truer words ... you know, they also sell the entire trachea, just called the Windee. Goes nicely with the Lamb Lung Puffs. Really.
