I recently ordered pairs of her "happy ghost" and "sad ghost" socks. (Figured they would be like a mood barometer and I could wear whichever pair was called for on the given day.) I had no idea that Rita would be so interested in them!
Of course, she's always interested in any package that comes to the house. She thinks everything is for her.

"Hey! I thought the package was for me!" |
Since she's a worrier (like Momma) I figured the sad ghost socks were the appropriate choice for her.

Cute socks. Our niece is totally into socks. She might like these too.
ReplyDeleteMy niece's stuff is very popular with girls - she's got like 50K Instagram followers. So, yeah, your niece definitely might like her stuff!
DeleteRita has the most expressive eyes! I bet she has wheedled (OMD! A W word I haven't used on my blog!) more than a few treats from you with those!
ReplyDeleteOH! I expect to see a "wheedled" post featuring Wilson soon!
DeleteAnd, yes, she does have expressive eyes! They mostly express her disdain, boredom, or severe hunger!
The socks are adorable. I bought those cute doggy books some time ago for one of our previous pups (I think Cooper) to wear outside in the winter because he had sensitive feet. Yep, I don't know who invented those things because putting them on was a surefire way to assure that he wasn't walking anywhere - or even moving for that fact. I am amazed at anyone who can get their pup to function in them. Rita does look miserable - the things we do to our "kids." I'll be sure to check out the blogs you mentioned!
ReplyDeleteHaha. Yes, those boots for dogs - I don't know how folks get their dogs to wear them either. I'll never forget this little Chi was saw when we were visiting Montreal - his pawrents had put boots on him, and he'd try to kick them off with every single step. So hysterical to watch. Pretty sure he rather would have been cold!
DeleteCole and my lab Chelsea wore boots. They both forgot about them the minute we left the house, walking fine. Worked great. Had to protect Chelsea's feet from allergens, and Cole had a problem with ice balls in deep snow. Poodle hair.
DeleteOh yes the poodle hair. My poodle wore booties in the rain, and morning dew, and if the sprinklers just ran :) because she just didn't like getting her feet wet.
DeleteRita in those socks is absolutely priceless!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't believe she stood still for that!
DeleteRita, I know you expected dog treats... maybe you could eat the toes off the socks, I hear toeless socks are the new fingerless gloves.LeeAnna
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Then they'd almost be leg warmers - hopeftully those won't come back!
Deletethose are cute and she wears them well. I still haven't gotten into snap chat but the filter is cute.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I can't get into snap chat either. But I do like that filter!
DeleteOh my dog, that is hilarious! She has the same look Shasta does when I pull out the camera! He is also compensated well, but hasn't seemed to connect the compensation with the camera. BOL
ReplyDeleteYeah, she doesn't seem to connect the two either.
DeleteTell poor Rita not to feel so bad. We just got a package with socks in the mail and they really are for Cricket! (to help her with traction because of her arthritis). I imagine I'll be seeing that same tragic look when I try to get them on her! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope she'll like them! We'll need to see pics of her in them! (And I'll tell Rita - she'll be sorry for Cricket!)
DeleteMy goodness, she has such a long face! My pug is a worrier like that, too. But I can't imagine him standing still for a photo with socks. He'd be in the other room in a flash!
ReplyDeleteJean from Welcome to the Menagerie
I know - I honestly couldn't believe she let me put those things on her, and then stood there for the photo. She's a funny girl.
DeleteLove the 'life is hard' pic. That's one of those that says volumes. 😇
ReplyDeleteShe has an expressive little face!
DeleteGreat photos and socks! Rita does look a little concerned about what she's gotten herself into, too funny! Has it steered her off an interest in packages?
ReplyDeleteNo, it hasn't! You'd think it would, but she still dives for everything I bring in the house!
DeleteI LOL'd at her facial expressions while wearing the socks!! Hilarious!! You two are so funny!!
ReplyDeleteShe makes us laugh everry day. She's really a nut.
DeleteLMAO!! The captions on these photos = priceless :) Adorable. I hope she was compensated for her worry (my pup makes the same faces like, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Can we please trade lives for a day?!) ha!
ReplyDeleteAlso Snapchat is addicting. I don't do it near enough but the filters are always fun :)
The filters are the only part of it that appeal to me. :) Instagram needs to add those filters and then my life would be complete.
DeleteAnd, yes, she was richly compensated for her pains. :)
hello pooch smooches its dennis the vizsla dog hay dada sez he thinks that may be the rolling stones filter and not the dog filter i hav no ideea wot he is tawking abowt as yoozhual!!! it is not like rolling stones hav tungs!!! hay rita yoo luk kyoot in yore mamas soks!!! ok bye
ReplyDeleteHahaha. I think your dada may be right about the filter, Dennis. Or maybe it's the Gene Simmons filter.
DeleteRita's expression while wearing the socks is priceless.
ReplyDeleteShe's a very expressive girl!
DeletePoor Rita, but the socks look good on her.
