It was his first time spending the night, and there were a couple of mischief moments, like when he stole Rita's usual spot on the sofa!
"Hee hee! I stole Rita's spot!" |
"I saw you cuddling him, Momma!" |
There was also some plant mischief, when a game of chase took out some succulents. Hurdling plants ain't easy when you're stubby! (They ran that route many times!)
Then there was more mischief when I was trying to photograph the poor mangled succulents, as both pups had to photobomb the shot.
First Reg photobombed, then Rita. Finally I got a dog-free shot! |
In Other Mischief...The Results Are In!
While we were away we got the results of Rita's Wisdom Panel 2.0 DNA test back. We had guessed either some sort of shepherd-beagle-terrier mix, or a true Heinz 57.
Well, she's not just a Heinz 57.
Of her 8 great-grandpawrents, half were Heinz 57s. The report said her other great-grandpawrents were two main breeds, and then the muttliness in her comes from a mix of 5 other potential breeds, each with varying degrees of possibility.
So... here's the mischief. Only 2 of our 3 guesses were right! But I'm not going to let you know the breeds until next week. Wanna try and guess which 2 we had right, and/or guess one of the other breeds we never would have thought of?? Leave your guess in the comments and check back in next week for the results!
Thanks to Snoopy’s Dog Blog, Alfie’s Blog, and My Brown Newfies for hosting Monday Mischief!
The first night we have a guest sleepover is always rough as they don't know our routine, but if they stay for a few days, they start doing what we do. If Reggie comes for more sleepovers and if he can spend a few nights he will do better. He will probably remember the routine too.
ReplyDeleteReggie is so adorable! Jeffie is just glad that he is so young and that he and Rita are cousins :-) Ooooh... can hardly wait to find out Rita's test results! I still think she's part GSD. Is their a Chihuahua in her line? A Xolo? Just thinking "Mexican."
ReplyDeleteI can see the Shepherd/Beagle. I'm really not sure on anything else though. The poor plant mischief reminds me of my weekend. I was out weeding and Laika decided to help by snapping my Blueberry bush in half for me.... Maybe Rita has some Spaniel in her.. I really don't know, can't wait to see the results.
ReplyDeleteYikes, that is some mischief! BOL! Way to go!!! Can't wait to find out the results!
ReplyDeleteBoy that look on Ritas face. Did you wither away? LOL
ReplyDeleteMischief abounds over there! The look on Rita's face in that one photo is priceless! You were really in trouble for cuddling another dog.
ReplyDeleteOz
I'm so excited to find out the results!!
ReplyDeleteI have proven terrible at these DNA guessing things but welcome back and give my love to the ever adorable Reggie the Fluff!
ReplyDeleteReggie is such an adorable boy!
ReplyDeleteLOL that was some mischief. No one is allowed to sit my chair. That is one place I don't share. Have a marvellous Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Uh-oh. You didn't tell me about the succulents. I know Reggie had fun because it took him two days to rest up and get back to any mischief at our house. He can't wait to see Rita -- it's been too long..
ReplyDeleteI also see the Shepherd. And some kind of hound. Perhaps Beagle. Maybe a coonhound of sorts.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hearing the results.
Wags (and purrs) Life with Dogs and Cats.
I would guess Shepherd for sure but that stink eye she's giving Reggie says Terrier to me. Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteOh we would eat those plants for sure, and dig out all the dirt.
ReplyDeletestella rose
oh rats, I want to know now what she is! Glad Reggie did well on his first sleep over.
ReplyDeleteJust like kids....acting up when they're together, and being jealous of Mom's attention! It looks like it was fun for all, in spite of the casualties!
ReplyDeleteOh I came over here quickly because I wanted to see those DNA results....can't believe you're making us wait! :) It definitely has to be shepherd - beagle, right? I'm going to guess one of the others is Labrador Retriever.
Two heads make more mischief than one! Sounds like they had a fun time though.
ReplyDeleteI'm going out on a limb and saying...cocker spaniel...only because I don't think there can possibly be any in her ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm so sucky at this. I'm going with the GSD/beagle as two of the breeds.
