And the good news is, you can bring your dog! Many of the breweries are dog friendly, and you can find a good list here, and a few additional places on this list here. One brewery we really like that isn't on either of these lists is Duck Foot Brewing.
|And I cannot lie!|
During our recent kitchen remodel, there was one Saturday where all three of us needed to get out of the house so the painters could spray paint the boxes of all the cabinets (since we were just getting new doors/drawer faces). Duck Foot was the perfect place to spend an afternoon.
Okay, I admit - Rita didn't go with us. Even though Duck Foot is dog friendly, she's not always a friendly dog. There are certain men and dogs that set her off, so luckily we were able to leave her at my sisters house.
We had a really fun afternoon at Duck Foot!
1) They have very tasty beer! I used to think I didn't like beer, but that was back when I'd only tasted the "fizzy yellow" stuff. Going to breweries is fun because you can get a flight of taster sizes. And if I accidentally pick something I don't like, I can always talk the hubs into drinking it for me. :)
2) Not only is Duck Foot's beer tasty - it's gluten free! Since the hubs recently found out he's gluten sensitive, this is important for us!
3) There were cute dogs there! I only got a pic of this one though. There was also a really adorable Aussie shepherd pup - who was the mellowest pup I ever met! But unfortunately I didn't get a decent picture of him.
4) They have word games! I love word games! And the hubs was happy cuz he beat me at Boggle - for probably the first time ever!
Beer + dogs + word games = a very fun afternoon!
Have you been to San Diego? Are you a beer person? What's your poison-of-choice?
