I really wanted Rita to be saying "I can see Mexico from my house!"... but technically we can't see it from our house. But we
can see it from some spots in our 'hood.
(That's Mexico waaaay in the background.)
Sometimes we almost forget Rita is Mexican. (After all, she doesn't have an accent.) But she does remind us every year when Cinco de Mayo rolls around...
I should probably hide the tequila before May 5th this year.
Happy almost-wordless (shocking!) Wednesday!
Thanks to BlogPaws for hosting Wordless Wednesday! Stop by their site to check out all of the other blogs in the hop.
I think you'd better hide it. Judging from that bottle, I'd say she drinks quite a bit! LOL!
ReplyDeleteNeat picture by the way :D
Yeah, the bottle's half empty and she's half in the bag! :)
DeleteI bet she can smell Mexico from your house!
ReplyDeleteHaha. Yes, I bet she can!
DeleteHaha those senoritas do love their tequila!
ReplyDeleteSenorita Rita does love her tequila - it smells like home! :) lol
DeleteOf course soon enough, she see won't be able to see it. There will be a huge wall blocking her view ;-)
ReplyDeleteHaha. Sad truth.
DeleteTell Rita to go light on the tequila. Cass always wants my Corona when I have one. Lovely view - hope it stays that way.
ReplyDeleteYes, hopefully it will stay that way. :)
DeleteTacos and tequila, everyone's favorite.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely our favorite! We have Mexican food and margs at our wedding reception - too bad Rita wasn't there!
DeleteMy housemate says, "Woof Woof!" meaning "Hi Rita. It is nice to meet you!" She asks if she could have a taste from your bottle! We haven't been to Mexico, but our humans have friends that vacation there every year. Mew Mew!
ReplyDeleteOh, Mexico's nice to visit! We've been a few times.
DeleteDon't party too hard Rita, you still have a whole month before Cinco De Mayo!!! Same some fun!
ReplyDeleteI know - she needs to pace herself or she won't make it past Cinco de Mayo - lol!
DeleteYou might try a 12 step program, but the picture of a wasted pup is too priceless.
ReplyDeleteI love that photo. She was sound asleep and I walked up and set the bottle down and she gave me that look. Then she started sniffing the bottle - I have a hysterical picture of that too. She's a funny pup.
Deleteawww
ReplyDeleteShe's a cutie, isn't she?? (And she puts up with a lot of me shoving a camera in her face.)
DeleteWhat a great view and picture! It must be neat being able to see a whole other country from where you are. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is kinda wild. We just went to a really fancy restaurant in Tijuana for dinner recently. It is pretty cool to be able to pop over to another country for dinner and then come home. :)
DeleteHope you don't get a wall there. Your Canadian pals!
ReplyDeleteYeah... we hope not too. I mean, we already have one so I'm not sure why we need a new one!
DeleteOh Rita! you do look like you have had a few too many
ReplyDeletehugs
Mr Bailey, Hazel & Mabel
She really needs to learn her limits! :)
DeleteOh that picture! I expect to see it on a billboard any day now.
ReplyDeleteHaha. I should probably contact Jose Cuervo.
DeleteOh, no. One too many.
ReplyDeleteShe has no self control.
DeleteLook at those bleary eyes! She really looks like she's reconsidering her beverage choices.
ReplyDeleteJean from Welcome to the Menagerie
Yeah, the little red-eye thing cracks me up. She really does look like she's regretting her choices.
DeleteWhat a beautiful clear day in SD!!
ReplyDeleteI actually took that pic on NY's Day - it was a lovely day for a long walk!
DeleteThat picture is perfect.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! It is nice that Rita does not forget her roots. :)
ReplyDeleteNever. She's our Senorita Rita! :)
DeleteWow your so close you could almost throw a rock at it. Very cool
ReplyDeleteIt is kinda cool to be so close to another country. We went there recently with friends for dinner and it was really fun.
DeleteOh Rita...we think you should stick with the sightseeing!
ReplyDeleteYes, that would be wise! :)
DeleteUhh oh! Someone had a bit too much...hehe. Very cute photos! :)
ReplyDeleteHenry
Yeah, just a teensy bit too much... :)

DeleteOh my gosh, that's the funniest picture I've seen of Rita!! She deserves an award for that posing job, haha!😂
ReplyDeleteIt's actually from a few years ago. I drag it out every now and then. :) From the same photo session, I also have a really funny one where she's sniffing the top of the bottle with such a look of "ahhhh, smells like home" on her face. It's too funny.
DeleteLove this! I laughed so hard when I read that Rita doesn't have an accent--too, too funny. The the pic is priceless, too. Cheers and big pets to the pooch.
