She had a good time checking out where the heck Daddy goes for such long stretches of time every weekday!
She checked out his awards...
...and quickly found the snack drawer!
She had fun romping in the soccer field. (Yep, they have a soccer field, an amphitheater, a basket ball court and a volleyball court!)
Then we went for a walk about the complex, which has a really nice (if short) walking trail...
...complete with it's own man-made river and a waterfall.
There's even a big Koi pond. Rita was not too sure about the Koi!
There was a lot of mischief underway when we accidentally went to look at the pond in what is apparently the spot they get fed from!
All the fish and several turtles started heading our way!
They were really pretty. I felt guilty we didn't have any fish food handy! (I only had cheese for Rita...)
This isn't a great pic, but this one fish was so funny. The rest all swam around, but he just hung out right under us the whole time with his mouth hanging open. Too funny.
Bigify to try and see the goofy look on his face. |

Work looks like so much fun, doesn't it?! Hope you had a lunch break! BOL!
ReplyDeleteI know! Why does the Daddy grumble about going to such a fun-looking place??
DeleteWhat a fun outing. I've often wished DH or I worked in a dog friendly company. Bailey would love to got to work and meet everyone. Katy on the other hand loves being at home with Mom and Bailey. I don't see her loving the work environment as much.
ReplyDeleteI don't know that they'd be too dog friendly on an actual work day, but luckily we were able to sneak her in on a Sunday. :)
DeleteWhat a great place to work, and take the dog for a visit. That fish is pretty funny. He wanted something for sure.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that fish a riot? Wish the pic came out better of him just sitting there with his mouth hanging open.
DeleteRita, what a cool place to explore!! They look like they have lots of neat stuff there :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a lot of fun! We wanted to play on the beach volleyball court too but some folks were using it. boo!
DeleteThat is a lovely place to work and to go for a dog exploration. Dog-Daddy has some intriguing awards, I'm betting they are not just participation trophies.
ReplyDeletehaha. No. Daddy would never want one of those kinds of trophies! Daddy is Mr. Competitive!
DeleteNow that looks like a great place for a take your dog to work day, so many things to see.
ReplyDeleteThere were a ton of fun things to see. I knew their offices were nice, but I had no idea HOW nice!
DeleteThat fish really does have a funny face......The fish and turtles definitely do understand that food comes from humans! I've seen that behavior a lot.
ReplyDeleteI had a friend who had a box turtle for a pet. She had had him many years. He would follow her around the condo, even up a step, in hopes of getting a snack. He was very cute. He even used a litter box!
That is so cute about your friend's turtle! Sounds a lot like a dog I know - well, the following around for a snack and being cute part. Not the litter box part.
DeleteSuch a brilliant place for Rita to explore!
ReplyDeleteI think we'll definitely go along the next time Daddy needs to stop by there on the weekend!
DeleteWhat a cool place to work
ReplyDeletehugs
Mr Bailey, Hazel & Mabel
It is pretty cool - but also pretty busy and stressful!
DeleteAre there any job openings there? That looks like a great place to work! We don't have anything cool like Koi, but we do have rats that come up out of the drainage thingamabobs and romp in the shrubs. (Shudder)
ReplyDeleteOh shit. Koi! Not Coy. My hubs always proofreads for me (cuz I'm a terrible speller) and he didn't catch that! Must go fix....
DeleteLOL about no Koi, but rats instead. Nice. Yeah, we had mice at my last office. And, yes, I think they do have openings! They're growing like crazy!
Koi and turtles! Awesome Rita. Did you put your snout in? Cole saw some the other week and wasn't tempted in the least til a frog jumped in! Going to work like a big girl! And handled it well, good on you girl! LeeAnna
ReplyDeleteI thought for sure she might try to get in the water because it was very shallow and she loves to dunk her tummy when she'd hot, but she was a little freaked out by the fish and the noise from the waterfall.
DeleteToo bad it isn't take Rita to work day every day! I bet you could really help your dad out and it looks like a fun place to hang out! ;-)
ReplyDeleteDaddy would love to have her there every day to help reduce stress levels!
DeleteWhat a fun day for Rita! Mia's great at the office. Someday I want to bring Leo here ... when there's NO ONE around...
ReplyDeleteYep, no one was around that day either! We let her off leash and she was running up and down the halls. Really glad no one else came in!
DeleteFun field trip! I wish Mr. N could come to work with me.
ReplyDeleteThat would be really fun!
DeleteLooks like a dun workolace!
ReplyDeleteIt's fun at times, but there's also a lotta stress!
DeleteRita your dad has a really fun looking place to work! It looks like it should be dog friendly and that you should get to go every day. Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteDaddy definitely wishes she could go along every day! But he probably wouldn't get as much work done!
DeleteThe grounds look nice there. We have koi and turtles at our building as you remember. It is stress relieving to just watch them.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll suggest he go out and stare at the koi when he gets stressed!
DeleteWhat a fun day! Like the turtle in the Koi pond. What a neat place to work!
ReplyDeleteThe turtle was SO cute! I iwsh I'd had something for him!
DeleteThat sounds like the perfect TYDTWD to me! Those Koi are so neat!!!
ReplyDeleteAren't they pretty?! There were so many!
DeleteLooks like this could be the start of a new tradition!
ReplyDeleteYep, we'll definitely go back. And hope no one will be there!
DeleteGeez, some nice perks to that work place!
ReplyDeleteThey are growing quickly so they just built this nice, new complex. It's pretty cool!
DeleteDid you say you went to the office or a park LOL!! I've never seen an office complex that nice! Thanks for sharing your little adventure with us, very nice!
ReplyDeleteLove & biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
It is awfully nice, isn't it?! They did a really good job on the grounds.
DeleteWhat a fun adventure! Your dad has a really nice office complex.
ReplyDeleteHe does indeed!
DeleteWow! What a great trip to the office!
ReplyDeleteIt was a very fun outing!
DeleteLooks like a great TYDtW day!
ReplyDeleteIt was great - since there were no other worker-bees there! :)
DeleteI love taking my pups to work, but we have nowhere near the beautiful grounds that you have. We do have a nice rail trail next door, but everybody uses it, so it's not great for two nut jobs.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's nice that you can take them along to work. Too bad everybody uses the trail! (Rita's a nut job too - hence taking her in on the weekend!)
DeleteHey! I impromptu-ly (ha ha I made that up) took Cooper to work today!! Wooooo! Most of my employees are at a conference this afternoon, outside the office, so with only four colleagues in the building, I thought it would be a good time to bring one of the dogs in. I used to bring my previous dogs to work almost every day. Sigh. How times have changed. It's fun to have Coop here with me today, but he keeps looking for mice!! (it's an old renovated farmhouse & barn, so yes, there are mice -- rodents, not the computer kind, although we have those, too!)
ReplyDeleteOh, dear! Mice! We had mice at my office in Philly - and it was a 4-story office building, not an farmhouse/barn! One day at work I heard a woman scream and was told a mouse ran up her leg. I spent the rest of the week working with my legs tucked up under me at my desk!
DeleteSilly fish, but it sure looks like it was a fun outing. Brown dawgs would be very tempted by that water.
ReplyDeleteThat fish was a riot!
Deletehello rita its dennis the vizsla dog hay the snak drawer!!! yoo no wot is importent abowt a wurkplayse that is for shoor!!! ok bye
ReplyDeleteThe snack drawer is where it's at!
