A Quick Catch-up and Puppy Mischief!

If you saw my last post, you know my mother-in-law passed away, so the hubs and I have been away from home for over 2 weeks. (Luckily we made it there in time to spend a couple of days with her.)

 Rita stayed with Reggie (her cousin) while we were away. She was (reportedly) a good girl (except for not wanting to share her chew bones!), so I have a little Reggie mischief to share.

 Reggie sent us this photo while we were in Montreal:

Along with this note:
Dear Aunt Jackie and Unka Mike,
I am so ashamed. Today I chewed a hole in Rita's nice bed. In my defense, there was a little hole started there, and I cannot resist that sort of thing. My mom has fixed it almost good as new. Please forgive me. I love all three of you.

Of course we forgave him. How can you not forgive a face that cute?! (Plus my sis sewed it up so good we'd never have known there was a hole if Reg hadn't told us.)

In Other Mischief...
The weather is crazy. In the last 2 weeks we've gone from 42 degrees and rain in Montreal (the extent of our "winter" since it was so hot all winter here in San Diego), to about 82 and DRY here in San Diego. Nutty. WHERE IS SPRING??

    What a cutie.  I have caught Delilah treating her bed like a fluffy that needs to be destroyed.  I had to do a major repair on it and hopefully we will have some time without having to worry about the jaws of destruction.

    I hope you and the hubs are on the road to healing.  I'm sure Rita was quite pleased to see you.

    So sorry for your loss.

    Sometimes they just can't resit the chew.  We found an interesting whole in our winter bedspread.  Both dogs are taking the 5th.

    Reggie's not quite past the point of naughty puppy yet.....Soon! Cardis are good dogs....mostly ;-)

    Reggie misses his Rita girl! When Reggie's good, the "H" is for Handsome.  When he's naughty, the "H" is for Hellacious. Taryn's right -- still hints of naughtiness, but more frequently we can see the good dog we know is in there!

    We are glad to see you back also, oh heck we have tore up more beds then mom wants to count, they always start digging at a small hole and then the next thing she knows there is stuffing all overs.

    I'm so glad you are back home, and that Rita did well while you were gone.  Can't wait to see more photos of those two cuties.
    What is it with small holes that puppies think they need to make bigger?  We had a small hole in the screen door of one of our sliders, and Luke felt compelled to enlarge it... A LOT.  I don't think the fix is going to be very easy, unless you think your sister could just sew it up for us?  LOL

    Sorry to hear about your mother in law. I hope she's giving Bailey lots of belly rubs up in heaven.

    Reggie is very smart to send you a 'forgive me' pic, how could you resist?!

    We've got crazy weather here too, yesterday it was 95F, Mum is watching the temp right now and hopefully gonna get us out walking before it gets hot again - what's summer gonna be like?
