Rita: "I Can See the Mother Country from Here!"

I really wanted Rita to be saying "I can see Mexico from my house!"... but technically we can't see it from our house. But we can see it from some spots in our 'hood.

(That's Mexico waaaay in the background.)

Sometimes we almost forget Rita is Mexican. (After all, she doesn't have an accent.) But she does remind us every year when Cinco de Mayo rolls around...

I should probably hide the tequila before May 5th this year.

Happy almost-wordless (shocking!) Wednesday!

  1. I think you'd better hide it. Judging from that bottle, I'd say she drinks quite a bit! LOL!
Neat picture by the way :D

  4. Of course soon enough, she see won't be able to see it. There will be a huge wall blocking her view ;-)

  5. Tell Rita to go light on the tequila. Cass always wants my Corona when I have one. Lovely view - hope it stays that way.

  7. My housemate says, "Woof Woof!" meaning "Hi Rita. It is nice to meet you!" She asks if she could have a taste from your bottle! We haven't been to Mexico, but our humans have friends that vacation there every year. Mew Mew!

    1. I love that photo. She was sound asleep and I walked up and set the bottle down and she gave me that look. Then she started sniffing the bottle - I have a hysterical picture of that too. She's a funny pup.

    1. It is kinda wild. We just went to a really fancy restaurant in Tijuana for dinner recently. It is pretty cool to be able to pop over to another country for dinner and then come home. :)

    1. It's actually from a few years ago. I drag it out every now and then. :) From the same photo session, I also have a really funny one where she's sniffing the top of the bottle with such a look of "ahhhh, smells like home" on her face. It's too funny.
