A message in the bed |
In Other "Sweet" Mischief...
I sent out my 2nd quarterly author newsletter on Friday. I included a scone recipe, as a nod to Jane, the main character in Rescue Me, Maybe who agrees to help out her uncle at his small-town B&B by working as the breakfast chef.
On Saturday morning, it occurred to me - I forgot to list the sugar when I was typing up the list of ingredients for the newsletter! D'oh. So embarrassing... Had to send the corrected recipe out to everyone on Saturday.
In better news, I made the recipe on Sunday and they were delicious! Because I remembered the sugar!

Carrot Cake Scones. Complete with sugar. Yum! |
Even though it's almost midnight those scones look amazing. I could eat TWO with a hot cup of coffee right now! PS: so sorry to hear about the decapitation of the pony BOL
ReplyDeleteRita did an excellent job at beheading her pony. Our Bentley would have left the head and chewed off the rope legs & tail first. Mmmm, that sugar glaze on the scones looks yummy.
ReplyDeleteHow Halloweeny and spooky to find a horse head on the bed!
ReplyDeleteSilly Rita. Thanks for the laugh. The scones look yummy! I remember once a friend shared a recipe for a dump cake with me. I tried to make it. It did not turn out. I tired again...yuck. Then I realized she forgot to list the flour. Happens...lol.
ReplyDeleteGreat job with your stuffie!!! Those scones look mouth-watering!!!

When I saw your revised newsletter, I had to chuckle. When I had been sharing a dog treat recipe last week, I made up a whole photo with a picture and the ingredients lidt, and then when I was proofreading my post....realized I had left flour off the ingredient list. Only good thing was that I at least caught it before I published! I still had to do the whole photo thing all over again though!

A head in the bed? How disturbing! I think Rita should only watch PG-13 movies from now on.
