Monday Mischief: Being Nosy

Is this mischief (being NOSY), or is she just trying to be helpful?

The other day I potted some plants and, of course, Rita had to come stick her nose into what I was doing. She's always got to be RIGHT THERE next to me, checking out whatever I'm doing.
"What are you doing, Momma?"

"What are you doing now? Can I help?"
"Is this helping? I'm supervising! Quality control!"
I think it's pretty cute (okay - I think everything she does is cute!) and I like to encourage her to check things out since she can be nervous around new things. I think it's good for her self confidence to come over and see that things aren't scary.

But, having said that... sometimes the momma could use a little space.
"Uh, am I in your way?"
"What about now?"
"I'm not nosy, I just have a lotta nose!"
Does your pup like to "help" with your projects?

  1. Sometimes when I'm working in the yard, Indy gets in my face and starts kissing me. I always tell her, "It's really hard for Mama to do this with a dog in her face." If she really wants to help, I wish she'd learn to pull weeds!

  2. I think Rita is a great little helper - I love to be involved in everything too!! Though sometimes I think I help just isn't appreciated enough - doh!! :)

    Wags to all

    Your pal Snoopy :)

  3. Way to be such a great helper Rita! I am sure your Mom is so appreciative!

  4. Hi Y'all!

Just hoppin' by to say "hi".

BOL! I like that kind of helpin'. Usin' the nose is always a good thing!

    Y'all come by now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

  5. You did a good job snoopervising there! Our humans like it when we stay close by to them--they just pretend not to sometimes.

  6. Dogs make the best supervisors, don't they? :)

We love comments - even just a smiley face or a LOL will make my day. (Yes, my days are pretty easily made.)
