Okay, well, I decided anyway...
I'm thankful for the hubs, and my beautiful pup, and my family, and the lovely place that we live, and for all the folks who read this silliness here on my blog and who take the time to read my books.
Rita is thankful for treats.
She is not thankful for being a supermodel. Until the treats come out.
And she should know that that doesn't smell like turkey, because she was right there, underfoot, when I brought our Thanksgiving turkey home. (Don't forget - it's okay to give your pup a little bit of the turkey, but not the skin!)
A Wee Gift for Newsletter Subscribers
I'm planning to send out my (very infrequent) author newsletter on Monday, and it will include a wee gift for my subscribers - a short story, perfect to read while enjoying some hot cocoa and a Christmas cookie or five.
The short story, "The Year I Got All Grinchy," is my usual Fido-friendly fiction, so be sure to sign up for my newsletter if you'd like a copy. It's a story I wrote a few years ago for a Christmas anthology, but figured it was time to share it with more than the 7 people who bought the anthology. :) (It will be available in ebook form or as a PDF, and you can sign up on the home page of this blog or my website, www.jackiebouchard.com.)
Happy Thanksgiving to all who'll be celebrating!
Thanks to BlogPaws for hosting Wordless Wednesday! Stop by their site to check out all of the other blogs in the hop.
John says I get all grinchy every year! LOL! I am looking forward to reading it!ReplyDelete
Lol. (Hmmm. Just occurred to me that maybe I should have called it “The Christmas I Got All Grinchy”.... oh well!)Delete
Happy Thanksgiving. Rita, deal with the photo and you will get treats! Trust me, I know as I do it all the time :)ReplyDelete
Yes, she is well compensated for her pains. :) Just like you are, I’m sure.Delete
Rita your so darn cute, have a wonderful Thanksgiving.ReplyDelete
Thank you! You too!Delete
Blueberry usually looks like posing is beneath her but she’ll do it anyway. But Rita looks disgusted with the whole process-she cracks me up.ReplyDelete
Happy Pie Day!! ;)
She cracks me up too. Yah! Pie!!!Delete
All good things to be thankful for. And I can't wait to read the grinchy story.ReplyDelete
Thanks! Hope you’ll like it!Delete
Rita is such a great model,my dogs run from the room when they see a camera. Happy ThanksgivingReplyDelete
Ya know.... I guess that’s why I just realized I’ve never seen your dogs! They obviously value their privacy. :)Delete
When it comes to posing, I think Rita and Honey twin sisters from other misters. Love how you make the most of your captions.ReplyDelete
As I try to raise my blog from the dead, I'm determined to catch more candid pictures of Honey. I'm afraid, based on the posed pictures, everyone will think she's miserable.
Love seeing your pics of Rita at the beach since it's obvious to all of us that posing for photographs is one of the few meh moments in her day.
She does LOVE the beach! She tries to pretend like she has a very ruff life. :)Delete
I’m sure you’ll have no problem reviving your blog! Happy Thanksgiving to you and Mike and Honey as well!
thanks to Rita for a year of wisdom.ReplyDelete
She is very wise! :)Delete

Rita, even as un unwilling model you tell an excellent and funny story! I'm not sure I've signed up for your Newsletter... though I may have since you mentioned it is infrequent... I'll sign up again though, since I don't want to miss out on one of your books. ;-)ReplyDelete
