Cover Reveal: STRAY MAGIC is Coming!

Today I'm sharing the cover of my new novel Stray Magic, which officially launches on 10/10.
A fairy tale for dog lovers.

Isn't it so cute?! I love it!

I ran a competition on 99Designs and this was the one I finally chose (after MUCH deliberation!) This cover is a bit different for me, since all my other ones use a photo, but since this book is a bit different (it includes magic) I figured it was okay to have a different look.

The 99Designs process was really fun. You set up a "contest" for your design needs (book cover, web design, logo, etc.) and designers compete to be selected (and get paid!).

The designers were all very accommodating, making any little tweak I requested, and even suggested ones I hadn't thought of. For instance, here's how the Stray Magic cover started out. Still cute, but more somber:

I asked the designer to add a tongue - because I think it makes the dog look happier - and to change the colors and I really love the final result.

Another thing I really love is the spine of the paperback! So darn cute!
That tongue!

Okay, now for the Nitty-Gritty

The book blurb
Cara Snow is newly divorced, stuck working for a jerk at a pet boutique, and worried about her soon-to-be empty nest with only her corgi for company. Longing for a little romance—or at least a date for the annual pet-rescue gala—she wishes she could fall for a man as easily as she does for the irresistible dogs she meets at work. Her wish summons Vincent. With his tough-guy accent and velour track suit, he's not the fairy godfather of her childhood storybooks. Unfortunately for her, he’s also not on top of his game. When he casts his spell, suddenly men are interested in her… but none of them are her type. If only they were as perfect for her as the dogs they adopt! Has Vincent botched the spell? If so, what will that mean for Cara, as well as Vincent? Stray Magic is a tale of love, laughter, and the profound magic of believing in yourself.

It's available now for pre-order for $2.99 as a Kindle ebook, or if you prefer a different ebook format or a paperback, it won't be available until 10/10.

But... I'm going to giveaway a print copy (or maybe two...) via my newsletter which will be going out in the next few days, so if you want a chance to win a copy before you can get your hands on the book anywhere else, be sure to sign up for my newsletter here or on the right-hand bar of this very blog! (It's a very infrequent newsletter, and I always include a giveaway!)

Thank you for letting me be wordy!
