At Least The End Is Getting Closer

We've had a wee break from the construction for our kitchen remodel, for various reasons, but now that that workers are back, Rita just... can't... even...

Rita and I vote to hibernate through the rest of the work. Wake us when it's over.
"Kill the light. And fetch me my earplugs?"

Would you like to give hibernation a try? Just for a little while? If not, what animal ability would you like to have?*

* For me, after hibernation, I'd love to try flying low and skimming along just above the ocean the way pelicans do. That looks so cool!

  1. I think there is definitely something to be said for hibernation. Especially if you lived in cold locales, it would be one way to avoid the cold weather. Rita will be so glad when the remodel is over - that pic says it all!

    1. I'd like to be able to hibernate for just a few days here, a few days there. Not the whole winter - but then, our winters aren't that bad!

    1. I've been sleeping really badly for about the last 9 months, so right now hibernation sounds like a dream!!

  9. It's always been my dream to hibernate in summer. Or at least they should have built an air conditioned dome over the valley by now to get us through the worst part of summer. I think it would be cool to be able to soar through the air and poop at the same time. Is that weird?

    1. Wouldn't it be great!? Maybe not every year - and maybe not ALL winter, but at least for a few days here and there. Maybe a few weeks... or months.

    1. Hmmm.... I think you should wish to be a beaver then. THey're known for their wood-working abilities and also known to be hard workers. You'd have your kitchen done in no time. :)

  15. I vote for migration. The animals that move south for the winter, like ospreys, are doing it right. Hope your remodeling is finished and beautiful soon!

  16. Hibernation during a renovation is a terrific strategy. So is wine. Lots of wine for you and belly rubs for Rita. Perhaps walks on the beach will help pass the time. Here's hoping the work will be completely soon and you'll have a fabulous new space. ღ

  17. I'm sure it will be worth it when it's done. My biped isn't looking forward to all the cleaning when our work is done!

I would love to fly, but I'd fly up really high like eagles do.

  18. I've been thinking about that a lot. If I could hibernate for the next 2 months while my broken leg heals, I wouldn't be nearly as bored as I am now. And my leg would probably heal faster, too!

  19. Hopefully the construction is over soon.
Of course fight would be fun. Echolocation would be interesting. Swimming like a porpoise would be cool too. Too many amazing animal abilities to choose from.
