Around Here, We Love An Under Dog

We usually cheer for the underdog here at our house. That doesn't always work out too well (take the recent Super Bowl for instance...). But we do have a particular favorite "under" dog...

Here she is under "cover":

And under brush...

Under dark of night... (Technically, this is under our deck, not dark of night, but love those green glowing hearts in her eyes...)

Under the boardwalk
"...we were falling in love..."

Under a watchful eye...

Under the weather (note the big raindrops...)

Under a spell (she's fascinated by wolves whenever she sees them on TV!)

And finally... under the influence...
#mydogisalush

The TV photo is from "Spy in the Wild." Anypawdy else watching that? Great show! Rita loves it!

    1. I'm a bad influence on her - I'm the one who gave her the bottle. :)

  2. You could have used "under cover of darkness" for your deck shot :-)

    1. Yeah, ha. Heard someone the other day say he's "allergic to tequila." "When I drink it, I break out. I break out dancin'!"

  6. I love these. The one under the deck is downright awesome. Rita is sooo photogenic. My pups are awesome blurs when I take photos. Still figuring out the new camera too. We always have some tequila on hand but I rarely drink it because I think it smells like melted crayons.

    1. Wow, that's a great description of how tequila smells! When I wrote my first book, there's a tequila-drinking scene, and I remember uncorking a bottle and taking a deep sniff and trying to describe what that smells like. Wish I'd thought of melted crayons! :)

    1. She actually almost never goes under the covers - she runs hot I guess! That's why I had to get that pic, cuz she's never "under cover". :)

    1. Thanks - she wasn't thrilled about stopping under the pier I must admit. ALthough we run under it several times a week - but that day the waves were big and she doesn't like waves!

  10. Rita, you are a dog of many talents!
We can't watch animal shows on TV....Luke doesn't go under a spell, he goes crazy! We can't seem to get it through his head that things he sees on TV are not really HERE. LOL

    1. Lol. Yeah, Reggie is the same way! But it's not just animals with him - he also goes nutty for sports, dancing, fights, etc. etc. Makes it interesting to watch TV with him! :)

    1. I took that pic long ago on Cinco de Mayo. She was sleeping in the sun, and I set the bottle down next to her, and that was the look she gave me. :)

  14. All great pictures and I love her glowing green heart eyes!
Is it just me or does Rita look like a rabbit in the second picture (of her under the brush)? Every time I look at that picture, I imagen her as a rabbit. Of course it could be because I love rabbits (that is, I love to chase them). :)

    1. Haha. She does look a wee bit rabbit-sequel in that pic. It's the ears, back and floppy.

    1. I love that show so much. Every episode is fascinating. Can't even pick a fave moment, but it *might* be the warthogs getting groomed by the mongooses.
