Rita and I agree, though, we'd rather watch the waves than ride them. Rita does love to get her feet and belly wet, but she'd rather check the waves out from a distance!
Has your dog been to the beach? What did he/she think of the waves?
Thanks to BlogPaws for hosting Wordless Wednesday! Thank you for letting me be wordy! You can check out all the blogs in the hop here.
I'm with Rita - I would rather watch the waves than ride them!
ReplyDeleteAs a puppy I used to attack the waves on the North Sea, but since we don't see waves around here, the last time I was at Lake Superior where there were some bigger waves I was a bit hesitant to deal with them. I think it's best to stay clear like you, Rita.
ReplyDeleteWe live nowhere near a beach, but I've always thought our pups would love it - especially Cassius. Rita looks so happy!
ReplyDeletebeaches sure are fun
ReplyDeleteWhen we went to the beach this year, neither dog wanted the water and waves. But, that's not really unusual for them.
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had a chance to take Simba to the beach yet, but would love to take him. I think Simba would love to watch the waves from the distance as well. Nice pictures!
ReplyDeleteI have never been to the ocean but it sure sounds like fun! :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to take Miss Cocoa to a beach. Maybe a road trip with her!! She has not been but I think she would love them because she loves an adventure and is not scared of anything.
ReplyDeleteCalifornia seems very dog friendly
ReplyDeleteMy dogs have a talent for finding rotting corpses of seals, sea lions and fish on the shore and rolling in them whenever we go to the ocean. It makes for a pretty disgusting ride home.
ReplyDeleteSo photogenic!
ReplyDeleteHailey tries to eat the waves. Phod is so obsessed with chasing his toys, he doesn't notice!
ReplyDeleteOur dogs and the Wicked Witch of the West share a similar view of water.
ReplyDeleteThe girls love the beach but for all the stinky smells. They will go in up to their paws but we usually run from the waves. :D
ReplyDeleteJust say no to deep water! Cole the poodle
ReplyDeleteWe live in IL and last summer we drove to the east coast. I was so excited to show Ruby the ocean. Unfortunately, she wasn't impressed!
ReplyDeleteI would love to live by the beach. Dakota has never been to one, would love to see what he would do. DakotasDen
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun day at the beach.
ReplyDeleteI would love to the boys to the beach. Hopefully, we can visit the Gulf this summer.
ReplyDeleteMy dog loved (loved!) the beach. She'd charge up the dunes, dig holes in the sand, tear sticks to smithereens. P.S. I think I'm starting to develop a crush on Rita, lol. Cheers and have a great week.
ReplyDeleteMr. N runs away from the waves. He got caught in a small one once and he remembers!
ReplyDeleteSam thinks Rita is a very smart girl. He despises water and wouldn't even get his feet wet (he walks around puddles on sidewalks such is his H2O aversion).
ReplyDeleteWe've never taken any of our dogs to the beach...it is definitely on my wish list!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't take much of a wave to bowl over a corgi!
ReplyDeletePoor Rudy and Rosie have never been to an ocean beach. Does a big lake beach count? (Probably not... no big waves. Oh well... )
ReplyDeleteBe safe sweet girl. My dogs love the waves!
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought Harley hated the beach but turns out she doesn't like the break in the waves. Now we carry him out with us and he'll swim with us forever if we let him. #dolphindoodle
ReplyDeleteWe really enjoyed the beaches in San Diego a few weeks ago & are sad we missed you! You'll have to check out Shasta's wave experience on snapshot Sundays ;-)

ReplyDeleteBrown dawgs have never been to a beach, only ponds. I bet they would love it. We have had wind too. So much wind. Yesterday a wind advisory and I saw they had to close the Mackinac Bridge because they had even more wind than we had here.
