Wordless Wednesday: Left Out in the Cold

Recently when my sis was dog-sitting Rita, she took Reg and Rita over to a neighbor's house so they could race around in their park-like backyard. (Yes, the livin' is easy - and warm - in the winter time in San Diego, but our backyards are tiny.)

They played:

They play-bowed:

They tussled until they were beat:

And then my sis noticed this poor neighbor kid, left out in the cold.

Well, left out of the fun anyway, cuz it's not all that cold here. Poor guy!

Okay, on the subject of cold... Not to rub it in or anything, but the forecast for Wednesday in San Diego is the classic S.D. forecast - 71 and sunny! (No excuse for us to not get out and play, right?)

How is it where you are?

  8. Too bad for the pup that did not get to play. in the 20's at night and 30's in the day, which is better than the sub zero we had two weeks ago!

    1. Oh my goodness! 20s and 30s alone would kill me. Can't imagine sub zero! I'd never leave the house!

  9. I bet your sister is very glad to have Rita burn off Reggie's energy. Those young Cardis can be quite the handful!

  10. We have been in the 60s but the fog moved in overnight and took the warming rays of the sun away. We're cheering for the sun to break through later in the day. Go sun!!!

    1. I enjoy a foggy day every now and then. We had a bit of fog the other night, but it's mostly been pretty clear lately.

  11. It is sunny but it was 3 degrees as I drove to work. That is the problem here in winter, the sunnier it is, the colder it usually is. Ah well soon it will be Spring. I don't care so much about the cold, but I will be happy when it starts staying light later. The dark gets me. I bet the pups were tired after all that romping.

    1. 3 degrees?! AND YOU WENT OUT IN THAT? See, this is why I can't live in a cold place. Because I just don't want to go outside once it goes below 40! (And I hear you on the dark. We used to live in London, Ontario - which I'm sure was named after the real London because it was also a grey, never-sunny place. Such a drag!)

  12. You just had to rub it in. :)

Honey is happy to play in any weather. In fact, I could probably steal your woof balloons to apply to her just fine. But we see a lot fewer dogs on our walks in the winters.

    Sissies.

BTW, is was about -7 last night.

  15. Funny photos and hilarious commentary! Poor dog left out of the fun...

We're lucky if we see 71° in July!!! Today's 30° was balmy!
